- There are two windows that you can use to view signals: This one and the Breakout Box. The latter is intended for live work; the Signals Window for viewing captured data--though either may be used at any time.
- You can choose (SIgnals menu) which signal or signals are displayed.
- The number of signals displayed is also dependent upon the hardware settings; if you are looking only at a DTE, you will not see CD (Carrier Detect) for instance.
- Summaries of transitions are shown for the session, the currently visible portion of the session, and the selected (yellow in above) period of time.
- The selected area's start and stop timestamps are also indicated.
- Two buttons let you zoom in or out to see signal timing in greater detail.
- This window is coordinated time-wise with the other windows such as Events. Selecting an area in time in one window causes the same timeframe to be highlighted in the other open windows. VCS is about choices: Your choices!
