Quatech RS-232 asynchronous serial PCI boards are an ideal solution for adding additional ports to a wide variety of systems.

These cards function exactly like the standard COM port(s) on system motherboards. All PCI registers are properly implemented, so you can be sure that the Quatech board will be a good citizen on the PCI bus.

Multiport PCI cards share a single IRQ.

For high performance is heavy multitasking environments, this card is implemented with 16750 UARTs containing 64-byte FIFOs.

This along with Quatech's special clock-multiplying feature enables data transfer rates as high as 921.6 kbps.

A four-layer board design is used to ensure maximum signal integrity.

Note the availability of an "IND" model which features onboard surge suppressors.
